About Me

Jamie Ro Jamie Hyun Jung Ro earned a Doctor of Musical Arts in Historical Performance Practices from Claremont Graduate University. There she studied fortepiano with Prof. Preethi de Silva, piano with Dr. Nadia Shpachenko, and harpsichord with Dr. Robert Zappulla. From 2005 to 2006, she went abroad and continued her professional development in England, including participation in the Oxford Philomusica International Piano Festival. She is currently active as a performer and piano instructor in Southern California. And since 2014, she has been the founder and music director of Musica Anima in which she performs as soloist and chamber musician. This ensemble provides grassroots classical music concerts in local communities to celebrate classical music and to make a global impact through its Oxfam Jam Benefit Concerts.
